Tom Linley, Chief of Staff and Director of Volunteer Services, Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service

Tom is responsible for overall operations and direction of Volunteer Florida’s programs and 24 staff including administers Florida’s AmeriCorps Programs; coordinates volunteers and donations statewide during times of disaster; and promotes volunteerism to meet important needs throughout Florida. He oversees the administration of as much as $32 million a year in federal, state, and local grants that engage citizens in volunteer activities or support work in community organizations. Tom served for 23 years with the Florida Park Service where he managed more than 300 volunteers, the largest volunteer program in Florida State Parks. Tom has presented at the Governor’s Hurricane Conference, The National Conference on Volunteering and Service, and for many years, presented at the Florida Park Service Leadership Institute.
