The Downtown Improvement Board announces the Historic Districts newest signature event the 4th Annual “Friday Fest” series. This event will be held on the first Friday of each month March through November, from 6 until 10pm. “Friday Fest” features car club displays, live entertainment, extended store hours, food and craft vendors, adult beverages, children’s area and much, much, more!
The excitement starts with FOUR local bands to get you in the “Thank Goodness it’s Friday” kind of mood. Continuous music and festivities will continue throughout the evening.
“Friday Fest” will be held in the 200-300-400-500 blocks of Harrison Avenue and 4th and 5th Street from Grace Avenue to Luverne Avenue. “Friday Fest” promises fun for all age! Come be a part of the excitement!

17th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Indian River Boat Parade

The official lighting of the Riverfront Park Christmas Tree is done in conjunction with this community event in Riverfront Park from 5-9:00pm where attendees can listen to a variety of entertainment on the main stage, visit with Santa Claus, play in the snow, and watch a holiday movie, "The Polar Express", on the BIG outdoor screen (movie begins at 7:15). The Indian River Boat parade runs along the Indian River led by the Indian River Queen paddle boat. Admission is FREE to the event.
